"I devoured it."
I read a lot of Omegaverse and let me tell you that this one is different. It will wrench your heart out, mend it, rip it out again, make you cry, make you happy, and then make you beg the author for more.
I devoured all 450+ pages of this ARC basically overnight, the story had me absolutely GRIPPED in a chokehold with the emotional rollercoaster this pack went through.

"I fell in love with this book as soon as I read the forward."
If you love getting good character development and story as well as spice you are in for a treat. It does such a good job of using omegaverse tropes as a lens to tackle heavy and complex struggles. So much of Noras insecurities and mental demons hit home and will resonate with so many of us. It would be a great introduction to the world of omegaverse books if you are interested in giving them a shot.

"I LOVED it."
Omegaverse happens to be one of my favorite genres. I went into this one not knowing what to expect and I LOVED it. It is unexpected in the best of ways. It gives you enough background on your characters. Just enough smut to keep you interested, but it doesn't overtake the Book. The plot/story line here captures your attention.

"The moment I started reading it I couldn't put it down."
Monroe did such an amazing job at portraying someone trying to be what was instilled in them as perfect, that I was waiting with her alphas trying to find out who she was. The number of times I almost cried is more than I can count. Nora has been through hell and deserves all of the happiness in the world.

"This book has become one of my demons."
I am the first to admit when Iβm wrong. Which is why I try not to be. But well, we are here for the very fact that I π€ππ wrong. After my initial read of this book I was a bit frustrated. πΉππ’π π‘πππ‘ππ and ππ£πππ€βπππππ. There was A LOT of world building going on. Really good world building. But it was heavy, and I didnβt give it enough time to sink in. You know how I realized I was wrong, I keep thinking about the book. About the characters. About what the future holds in the story. Itβs all there, whispering in the back of my mind. πβπ ππππ βππ ππππππ πππ ππ ππ¦ ππππππ . Donβt be concerned, I like my demons. But yaβll it was so good. So complex. So intriguing. Did I mention the exquisite world building? And the depth of the characters? Miss maβam, if you are reading this. ππ₯π’π«π¬πͺπ’π«ππ©. πππ«π±ππ°π±π¦π ππ©. Yes, Iβm aware of what that word means, but it works, and Iβm going with it. Iβll be honest, Iβm not used to really πππππππ anything when I read aside from intrigue and enjoyment. But I went through so many emotions during this books and thatβs what π£π²π π¨π’π‘ me up. I couldnβt process my own feelings, how could I process the book.Anyways, itβs π£π²π π¨π¦π«π€ good. Read it.

"I was hooked!"
It is unreal to me that this is this authorβs first published novel. We are taken on a journey of desperation, hope, connection, and discovery.
Violaβs upbringing seems to help her succeed in The Race to Ytopie, a safe place for humans to live out the rest of their lives. When she finally and luckily gets to the fae, her life becomes even more complicated.
This is truly the best βwhat you see isnβt what you getβ story Iβve read in awhile. Just when you think you have your heart set on what you think is happening, youβre slowly second guessing yourself. I really loved the characters and their personality, the dialogue felt natural, and the outcomes of situations were exciting!

"This series has my whole heart."
What a f*cking ride.
I love this story so incredibly much. I want to scream it from the rooftop.
These characters, they are so beautifully flawed, and I loved seeing their struggle with past and present choices and their growth throughout this story.
The dialogues that the characters have with each other felt so raw and real and emotional at times, but there were also lighter moments and banter.
There is so much love, not just romantically, but also platonic, and I appreciated the way that the author showed us the different layers and complexities of friendship and sibling bonds. Especially when there's so much on the line, and everyone has a different opinion on what is morally correct.
In my review for The Last Winter, I mentioned that I wanted to see more of the magic system, and the author definitely delivered on that. The way that it can be applied is so varied, and the author manages to surprise with a new application multiple times throughout the story.
This series has my whole heart, and I'm already pumped for the final book!

Specifically: the boat, the games, a place i cant say cause spoilers
Writing Style 10/10:
Why is this not being picked up by a big publisher? Why is this not on tiktok? Keep an eye on Holly Monroe because her skill is unmatched. Phenomenal.
Plot 10/10:
Again, omg. So good. So much plot and the strategic way it was done. Chef kiss!
Intrigue 10/10:
The amount of messages I sent this author should have qualified me for stalking not friendship.
